Sexual violence against children is a serious issue that continues to increase, including in Tasikmalaya Regency, thus requiring optimal legal protection. In this regard, the Regional Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAID) plays an important role in prevention, assistance, and legal handling for victims. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of KPAID Tasikmalaya Regency in providing legal protection for child victims of sexual violence. The research problems formulated in this study are: how is the role of KPAID in providing legal protection for child victims of sexual violence in Tasikmalaya Regency; what obstacles are faced by KPAID in carrying out such legal protection; and what efforts are undertaken by KPAID to overcome problems related to legal protection for child victims of sexual violence in Tasikmalaya Regency. This study employs a qualitative method with an empirical juridical approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to systematically identify, connect, and interpret the research findings. The results show that KPAID has a comprehensive role in providing legal protection; however, it faces cultural, structural, and technical obstacles. The efforts undertaken include preventive, repressive, rehabilitative, and advocative measures. It is recommended to strengthen the role of KPAID, increase public awareness, and provide institutional support so that legal protection for child victims of sexual violence can be implemented more optimally and sustainably.
