ABSTRACT
This research is motivated by the lack of students in the ability to solve problems because teachers are not used to
developing higher order thinking skills for students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the
Deductive Hypothetic Type Learning Cycle Model on the analytical thinking skills of students on the concept of plantbased
motion.
Data
were
collected
from
11
May
to
17
May
2015
using
the Pre-Experimental
method
using
One
Group
Pretest
Postest
Design.
The
research
population
was
students
of
Class
VIII
and
samples
of
Class
VIII
D.
Sampling
was
carried
out by using purposive sampling technique and data analysis technique using the Z test. The parameter
measured was the ability to think analytically, so an instrument in the form of an essay test was used. The results
showed that Zhitung> Zdaftar, namely 2.75> 1.64, means that the application of Deductive Hypothetical Learning Cycle
Model Using Real Media has a very significant effect on the analytical thinking ability of students on the Concept of
Plant Nasti Motion. Using Real Media can be used to improve analytical thinking skills in the Concept of Plant Nasti
Motion. The implication of this research is that the teacher can choose the Deductive Hypothetic Type Learning Cycle
Model in improving analytical thinking skills and can carry out further research on other subject matter. |
