Abstract:
One of the traditions that is still developing in Sangiang village is the Pareresan Tradition. This tradition is a form of
gratitude for the abundant produce of the land, especially for farming communities. Pareresan itself comes from
Sundanese, reres panen means the harvest is over. This research aims to determine the use of character values in the
pareresan tradition integrated in history learning for class X.IPS-1 MA PUI Maja in the 2022/2023 academic year.
Researchers used descriptive qualitative methods, focused on how to implement the use of the character values of the
Pareresan Tradition as a source of historical learning. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and
documentation. The results of this research show that the implementation of history learning through the use of the
character values of the Pareresan tradition is going well, this can be seen from the planning process until the learning
takes place, the teacher shows a video of the Pareresan tradition there sangiang to the students. This arouses interest in
learning and activates them to ask questions while watching the video, as well as making them focus on learning history
