This research was aimed at finding out whether there was a significant enhancement in the students' speaking skill of the fifth-grade students at one of the elementary schools in Central Java through a conversation video "asking and offering help". An experimental research design was employed in this research. The sample of this research was 14 students. They were divided into experimental group. SPSS version 26 was used to calculate the research's results. The research findings revealed that the experimental group's pre-test mean score, which was 1,71, increased to 3,64. Besides, the mean difference in speaking enhancement between the pre-test and post-test within the experimental group was -1,929 and the significance level of students’ speaking enhancement in experimental group was .000 which was lower than .05. After the experimental groups received the treatments, the mean post-test scores of the experimental groups increased. As a result, students' speaking abilities were significantly enhanced after being taught using the current topic. Additionally, there was a significant mean difference on the students before and after received treatment. Consequently, the researcher suggests utilizing this current topic as an alternative method to teach speaking fluency. |
