Abstract:
This research aimed to observe the use of flipgrid by teachers in speaking classes to improving students' self-confidence in speaking classes this research also to describe the student perception to improving students' self-confidence. Self- confidence is a person's feeling of trust and confidence in their ability to do something successfully. The point of view of flipgrid is that it is an online learning media or media for communicating in the form of videos which of course allows students to learn to speak English without time limits, not only used in the classroom, of course during class hours, but can also be accessed outside. class or outside class hours in a comfortable and enjoyable environment for the user. This research uses qualitative methods and the research design is a case study the instruments used for data collection were non-participant observation and interviews. The data analysis carried out consisted of data transcription, coding, and drawing conclusions. To select research participants, namely English language students, the results of this research were that a teacher succeeded in providing good ways and methods to students which had an impact on improving students' self- confidence in speaking classes using the Flipgrid application. Based on the results of interviews, it proves that Flipgrid has a positive impact on improving students' self-confidence in speaking classes. Flipgrid is one of the tools that helps students with Flipgrid can create a comfortable class. This research concludes that using the Flipgrid application makes things easier for students and makes students feel more comfortable and confident in interacting in the classroom to learn English. Flipgrid is a versatile tool for educators that allows students to engage in interactive, video- based discussions, Using Flipgrid effectively can create a dynamic and interactive learning environment, fostering communication, collaboration, and critical thinking among students. Flipgrid provides a unique platform that can significantly contribute to English language education by enhancing various aspects of learning, by leveraging these features, Flipgrid can create an immersive and supportive environment for English language learners, enhancing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in a dynamic and interactive way.
