dc.description.abstract Dependence on relatively expensive commercial feed is one of the challenges faced by small-scale poultry farmers. One alternative solution is to produce feed independently using an integrated disc mill and mixer. This study aimed to: (1) identify the manufacturing process of a portable poultry feed grinding disc mill and mixer, including material selection, cutting, forming, machining, joining, and component finishing; and (2) analyze the performance of the manufactured machine in terms of performance, quality, economic value, and functionality. The research methods included a literature review, machine design, preparation of tools and materials, manufacturing, assembly, and machine testing. The manufacturing process consisted of material selection, cutting, forming, machining, joining, and finishing. Machine testing was conducted to evaluate performance, quality, economic value, and functionality, followed by analysis of the test results based on the predetermined specifications. Research results indicate that the machine's manufacturing process was successfully completed through stages including material selection, cutting, forming, machining, joining, and finishing. The machine delivers a production capacity of 10.5–16.8 kg/h, energy consumption of 0.72–16.67 Wh/kg, an average operating efficiency of 84.27%, vibration levels of 0.550–1.01 mm/s, and noise levels of 65.44–67.66 dB. Regarding quality, the grinding fineness on a 60-mesh sieve reached 76%–93%, while feed homogeneity showed a Coefficient of Variation (CV) of 1.08–1.32. The total manufacturing cost was IDR 935,000, and the machine weighed 8.025 kg, thereby meeting portability criteria. Consequently, the resulting disc mill and mixer unit offers performance, quality, economic value, and functionality suitable for small- to medium-scale poultry feed processing. en_US
