Abstract:
Background: Patient satisfaction is an important indicator in measuring the
quality of health services. Satisfaction will be felt by patients when quality and
professional care is provided. The proper implementation of nursing care
according to standards has a positive impact not only on patient satisfaction but
also on better treatment outcomes. Objective: To determine the relationship
between the implementation of nursing care and patient satisfaction in Wijaya
Kusuma Inpatient Ward. Method: This research used a quantitative method
with a correlational analytic design and a cross-sectional approach. The sample
consisted of 50 inpatients selected through purposive sampling based on
inclusion criteria. Data were collected using questionnaires measuring two
variables: nursing care implementation (assessment, diagnosis, planning,
implementation, evaluation, and documentation) and patient satisfaction
(communication, accuracy of care, responsiveness, empathy, and adherence to
procedures). Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. Results: The analysis
showed a significant relationship between the independent variable and patient
satisfaction, with a p-value of 0.006 (<0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant
relationship between the implementation of nursing care and patient satisfaction
in Wijaya Kusuma Inpatient Ward, RSUD Ciamis
