Abstract:
Education is the process of teaching people so that they can think logically and act more wisely. Therefore, education is the most important way to realize the nation's values. In this case, History Education also includes normative teaching because its goals are based on values and meanings that are in accordance with the goals of Education. The research aims to describe the implementation of K.H Moh Ilyas Ruhiat's character values in History learning. The researcher uses a qualitative method with case studies. Data collection through observation in the Cipasung Islamic Boarding School and PGRI 43 Singaparna High School, interviews were conducted with the administrator of the Islamic boarding school, the family of K.H Moh Ilyas Ruhiat, the Principal, the Vice President of Curriculum, History teachers and students. Data analysis techniques are in the form of data reduction, data presentation and data verification as well as drawing conclusions. The results of the research are in the form of biographies and character values of these characters, including independence, religion, hard work, discipline, democracy and love of reading. The implementation of K.H Moh Ilyas Ruhiat's character values was carried out twice by integrating them into History Learning materials based on the character values of local historical figures that can be implemented in daily life. The result is that through the implementation of character values, it can be beneficial for students in forming a better personality.

Pendidikan sebagai proses mengajar orang supaya mereka dapat berpikir secara logis dan lebih bijaksana dalam bertindak. Oleh karena itu, Pendidikan sebagai cara yang paling penting untuk mewujudkan nilai-nilai bangsa. Dalam hal ini, Pendidikan Sejarah juga termasuk pengajaran normatif karena tujuannya didasarkan pada nilai dan makna yang sesuai dengan tujuan Pendidikan. Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi nilai-nilai karakter K.H Moh Ilyas Ruhiat dalam pembelajaran Sejarah. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi di lingkungan Pondok Pesantren Cipasung dan SMA PGRI 43 Singaparna, wawancara dilakukan dengan admin pondok pesantren, keluarga K.H Moh Ilyas Ruhiat, Kepala Sekolah, Wakasek Kurikulum, guru Sejarah dan peserta didik. Teknik analisis data berupa reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian berupa biografi dan nilai-nilai karakter tokoh tersebut diantaranya sikap mandiri, religius, kerja keras, disiplin, demokratis dan gemar membaca. Implementasi nilai-nilai karakter K.H Moh Ilyas Ruhiat dilaksanakan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan dengan mengintegrasikannya kedalam materi Pembelajaran Sejarah berbasis nilai-nilai karakter tokoh Sejarah lokal yang dapat diimplementasikan pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Adapun hasilnya adalah melalui implementtasi nilai-nilai karakter dapat bermanfaat bagi peserta didik dalam membentuk kepribadian yang lebih baik lagi.
