dc.description.abstract |
Introduction: Stroke is a part of cardiopulmonary disease which is classified as a
catastrophic disease because it has a wide economic and social impact. The nursing
problems that arise from a stroke vary widely, depending on the area of the brain that
has the infarction or tissue death and the location affected. Stroke that attacks the left
brain and hits the speech center, it is likely that the patient will experience speech
disorders or aphasia, because the left brain functions to analyze, logical thoughts,
concepts, and understand language Objective: Explain nursing care for Mr. A with a
non-hemorrhagic stroke with verbal communication disorders in the Dahlia Room of
Majenang Hospital. Methods: This study used a descriptive research design with a
case study approach. Results and discussion: The results of the implementation of the
"AIUEO" vocal therapy innovation were affected by the ability to speak in stroke
patients who experienced motor aphasia in Mr. A, namely the implementation was
carried out 2 times a day in the morning and noon for 4 days, after the implementation
of "AIUEO" vocal therapy showed that the ability to speak began to improve on the 4th day after being given "AIUEO" therapy. |
