Second, the lack of community understanding regarding the role and function of the BPD results in low community participation in the decision-making process. Third, the lack of activeness of several BPD members, who are often absent from important meetings, also becomes an obstacle to effective decision-making. 3) The Village Consultative Body (BPD) in Mekarsari Village has undertaken various strategic efforts to overcome obstacles in overseeing the implementation of village governance. Among them, increasing the capacity of members through training that includes knowledge of governance and effective communication. In addition, the BPD also actively socializes to the community about their roles and functions, which increases community participation in the village governance process. An evaluation of facilities and infrastructure was conducted to ensure that the BPD has adequate facilities, such as suitable meeting rooms and modern communication tools, which are essential for interaction with the community.
