dc.description.abstract Vocabulary development is an important element in English language learning. One of the obstacles faced by students in non-formal educational institutions is the lack of contextual and interesting media. Although many studies support the use of video as a language learning medium, few have examined how students in non-formal education perceive the use of digital folklore-based videos about their vocabulary development. This study aims to explore how students perceive the impact of using digital folklore-based videos on their English vocabulary development. The study employs a qualitative approach. Participants consist of five students in the program of Paket C at a non-formal educational institution in Banjar City. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews. The results indicate that students have a positive perception of the use of digital folklore-based videos. They stated that learning is enjoyable and easier to understand, and it also helps in remembering new vocabulary. Digital folklore-based videos are an effective and contextual learning medium for improving English vocabulary mastery in a non-formal education setting. en_US
