THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SLEEP QUALITY AND LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF SMAN 1 CIAMIS STUDENTS IN 2024

ABSTRACT
Sleep is a condition of a person in the unconscious which is one of the basic human needs. A survey by the National Sleep Foundation (NSF) found that 60% of 17-year-olds complained of being tired during the day, and 15% said they were sleepy at school. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between sleep quality and the learning achievement of SMAN 1 Ciamis students. This study is a type of quantitative research with a correlational descriptive design with a cross sectional approach, the respondents of this study are 90 respondents from a total population of 862 students. The data collection technique used was the PSQI Questionnaire and the average value of an odd and even meter. The data analysis technique uses the Spearman Rank statistical test.The results showed that there was a relationship between sleep quality and learning achievement at SMAN 1 Ciamis, because of the α > value of p-value (0.05 > 0.000). This relationship is shown with a correlation value of 0.683 which is included in the strong category (0.60-0.799). The conclusions of this study are; (1) Sleep quality in adolescents at SMAN 1 Ciamis in 2024 mostly experienced adequate sleep quality by 58 respondents (64.4%), (2) Learning achievement in students at SMAN 1 Ciamis in 2024 mostly in the achievement category, an increase of 47 respondents (52.2%), (3) There is a significant relationship between sleep quality and learning achievement of SMAN 1 Ciamis students in 2024 with a p value of 0.000 (p < 0.05).
