dc.description.abstract |
This study aims to investigate the impact of using cartoon movie in teaching English on the educational development of students. It focuses on a group of 40 students out of a total of 75 first-year students and one English teacher at an Islamic boarding high school located in Ciamis, Indonesia. The literature review suggests that using digital cartoon movie can have a beneficial impact on intercultural competence when teaching texts in high school English classes. This study employs qualitative methods, specifically case studies and participants interviews. The findings indicate that incorporating cartoon movie can effectively aid students in grasping cultural details. This research seeks to understand the strategies that educators use to make sure that the movie chosen for educational purposes are culturally sensitive and aligned with student values. Besides, the study examines how teachers assist class discussions or debates following the viewing of movie that address cultural communication. The results of this research enhance our understanding of how movie can are a valuable resource for improving cultural communication in teaching learning process. |
