Abstract:
ABSTRACT
The Kawali road section (Km Bandung 138+000 to Km Bandung 140+000) experienced road damage which caused inconvenience for motorists using the road. The methods used in this research are the pavement condition index (PCI) method and the community development method.
The aim of this research is to determine differences in the level of damage on the Kawali road section (Km Bandung 138+000 to Km Bandung 140+000), as well as determine alternative ways to handle damage on the Kawali road section (Km Bandung 138+000 to Km Bandung 140+000) using using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method and the Bina Marga method.
The research results showed that there were 8 types of damage that occurred with the total number of damages on this road section being 72 with a total area of 585.12 m2. The PCI value for each segment is different, in segment 1 STA 0+000 – 0+500, a score of 24 is categorized as very poor, segment 2 STA 0+500 – 1+000 gets a score of 30, categorized as poor, segment 3 STA 1+000 – 1+500 gets a score of 12 which is categorized as very poor, segment 4 STA 1+500 – 2+000 gets a score of 4 which is categorized as failed Meanwhile, after calculating the average PCI value obtained, it was 17,5, after matching it with the parameters, the road conditions were very bad (very poor). Then, in the community development method, after obtaining the LHR class value and road damage condition value, the results of the analysis obtained a priority order value of 4.45 and if included in the road condition parameters, a periodic maintenance program must be obtained.
