As you get older, your blood pressure will increase, resulting in a risk of hypertension: Hypertension is a degenerative disease which, if left for a long time. can cause damage to body organs such as stroke, coronary heart disease, which can cause death. One alternative non-pharmacological treatment, namely cucumber infused water, is expected to be a new solution to help control hypertension. This research aims to determine the effect of cucumber infused water on reducing the blood pressure of hypertensive elderly people in the working area of the Rajadesa Community Health Center in 2024. Quasi Experiment research design using one group Pre-test Post-test Desing. The population in this study were all hypertensive elderly with a sample of 20 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection tools using observation sheets and blood pressure measuring instruments. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon sing rank test with significance <0.05. The results of the Wilcoxon test, P-salue = 0.02 (<0.05), show that there is an effect of cucumber infused water on reducing the blood pressure of hypertensive elderly people in the working area of the Rajadesa health center in 2024. It is hoped that cucumber infused water can be useful as an alternative to help reduce pressure blood over a long period of time. |
