Abstract:
Adolescents are an age group that is prone to anxiety. Where anxiety itself is an emotional condition with unpleasant feelings, namely a sense of tension. Adolescents who are first appointed as prisoners will certainly be required to adapt and socialize with prison rules that are not as free as in their usual environment, this is what causes anxiety in adolescents. The aim is to determine the effect of butterfly hug on reducing anxiety levels in fostered adolescents in class ii b correctional institutions in banjar city in 2024. This type of research uses quantitative research using quasi-experimental methods and one-group pretest-postest design research design. The population of this study were fostered adolescents in Class II B Correctional Institution Banjar City with a total of 71 people. By using sampling techniques using proportion estimation, a sample of 22 people was obtained. pretest test results before the butterfly hug and postest after the butterfly hug There is an effect on the level of anxiety of adolescents in the class IIB prison of Banjar City in 2024, because the α value < p value 0.000 < 0.05. Suggestions from researchers are expected that the Correctional Institution can implement a butterfly hug program in inmate coaches to reduce anxiety for inmates who are serving their sentences. With this application in
