Abstract:
Storytelling projects offer a dynamic platform for students to explore their interpretations of literary works, encouraging personal connections with characters, themes, and settings. This study aimed to investigate EFL Undergraduate students’ storytelling project in literature instruction in one of the colleges in Ciamis. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of case study. The participants of this study consist of 4 EFL undergraduate students based on recommendations from lecturers in literature subject. There are two instruments used by the researcher there are interview and questionnaires. The results of the interview showed that EFL undergraduate students’ experience with using storytelling projects in literature instruction. Some students experience excitement and understanding, namely their confidence in telling. While there is students experience difficulties and challenges due to some aspects that require time and deep thought, and the difficulty of dealing with the public lecturer using authentic assessment in online learning for English Literature courses. And the researcher concluded that learning using storytelling in literature instruction, believing it enhances their enthusiasm, understanding, and skills in English. Finally, the researcher suggested to analyze the results of this research in carrying out further studies.
