Abstract:
The existence of information technology not only facilitates the implementation of tasks, but also provides solutions to improve productivity and quality of work. Data management is still done manually where library staff during the process of recording book loans still use ledgers in the recording process, and when returning books, officers also use the same method, so that errors often occur in recording book loans and returns. So that it makes library officers have to work extra by collecting new data needed directly.
The methodology used in this research is the RUP (Rational Unified Process), planning is carried out in the Inception phase, design is carried out in the Elaboration phase, implementation is carried out in the Construction phase and testing is carried out in the Transition phase.In the current condition at SMK Miftahussalam, problems were found in recording the borrowing and returning of library books. The problems faced are that the recording is still done manually. at the stage of designing this procedure aims to produce a web-based library book borrowing and returning application.
Based on the results of research conducted by researchers on the application of borrowing and returning library books as well as some discussion about the application of borrowing and returning library books.
