The researcher found a lack of students'' ability to read narrative texts
individually, therefore the researchers tried to use PALS in reading narrative texts
using the Edmodo application. It is hoped that this research can help teachers and
students in using learning media for learning to read, so that students can be more
confident in discussing in reading lessons, and can improve their reading skills
and make it easier for teachers to teach reading comprehension. This chapter has
reviewed a brief description of the methodologies that underpin this study,
including study design, participants, research sites, data collection, research
procedures, data analysis, and ethical considerations. The following chapter
discusses the data analysis and record from each research instrument. The
discussion in this chapter has discovered several related points that provide the
answers to the research questions. The finding was based upon the from
observations and questionnaires. The analysis of how the teacher implements
PALS in teaching reading of narrative text using Edmodo, students respond and
on it. In the sense, the final conclusions will be presented in the forthcoming
chapter together with some suggestions for further research. This study used
Edmodo to investigate the use of PALS in narrative text reading. In accordance
with the study, three instruments were developed to collect data on how the
teacher implements PALS in narrative text reading using Edmodo and how
students respond to the implementation of PALS in narrative text reading using
Edmodo. Furthermore, the study’s conclusions would be explained one by one
based on the research questions. |
