Abstract:
In the writing process, feedback is usually given by the teacher. However, teachers
usually take a long time to provide feedback to students. Therefore this study aims
to explore the use of peer feedback; the type of peer feedback used and students'
perceptions of peer feedback to contribute to previous related research using a case
study, as a research design, at a Vocational High School in Ciamis, Indonesia. The
data were collected from observations and documents in the form of students'
writing products. Then the questionnaires were distributed to 10 students who used
peer feedback in the writing class. The results of this study revealed that students
used two types of feedback, namely direct feedback and indirect feedback.
Furthermore, students' perceptions of peer feedback received a positive response
and the most of students agreed that the implementation of peer feedback was more
useful and helped them to improve their writing.
