Abstract:
This paper raised the topic of using the Quill application as a medium for learning
English. Many online applications can be used in English writing skills.
Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out how students perceive the use of
the Quill to recount text application in writing skills, and how teachers perceive
the use of the Quill to recount text application in writing skills. The research
method uses descriptive qualitative. The process of collecting data is a
questionnaire and interviews. It was found that the Quill app motivated them to
learn English, improving their learning performance. It was found that the Quill
application was about the teacher's experience in using Quill, from the results of
personal interviews that the teacher assessed the Quill application to be quite
effective in learning, and the Quill application could make students more
interested in recount text subjects and more active than face-to-face in class. quill
helps them get quick information on class activities about the course and easy
access to course resource links. It can be concluded that the Quill application is
also quite effectively applied as a learning medium for students, because in
addition to making it easier for teachers to learn, and making students enthusiastic
about learning.
