Abstract:
The impact of the covid-19 pandemic in the world of education requires teachers‟
to work from home and students‟ to study at home, which will automatically
change teaching methods and learning media as well. This research aimed to find
out how creative teachers‟ when distance learning used Zoom cloud meeting
application to enhance students‟ speaking ability with the media used especially
for English teaching and to find out the students‟ perceptions on teachers‟
creativity on Zoom cloud meeting application in teaching speaking. The research
design of this study was qualitative case study. The subjects of this study were 2
teachers of Vocational high school. The data was collected trough observation to
see the teachers‟ activities in Zoom cloud meeting and their creativities to enhance
students‟ speaking ability and the data was conducted through interview to know
about students‟ perceptions. The result of the observation also showed that the
teachers‟ creativity toward the used of Zoom cloud meeting can be called creative
because there are several points to being creative and the result of interview
showed that the students perceptions indicate that the teacher is creative because
the students are able to understand the material and continue to accept it even
though there are some obstacles experienced by students‟. The writer suggested
for the teachers‟ should pay more attention to what difficulties students‟
experience when learning online and how to minimize the difficulties that are
often experienced and for the further researchers, they can examine teachers‟
perceptiont of online learning using Zoom cloud meeting application or implementation of teachers‟ creativity on zoom cloud meeting application.
