Abstract:
The use of technology in language learning has developed widely in line with the
technological progress itself. However, this research carries out the investigation
of implementation of digital platforms, learning management systems and mobile
application. This paper presents survey data from English Students using three
different digital learning platforms: Zoom Meeting, Edmodo, and Google
Classroom and the studenst have the experienced those this application. The
purpose of research is to determine students' preferences including perceptions
and perspective on using platforms and applications during ESP learning. There
were 25 English students as participants. The instrument is a questionnaire based
on MALL evaluation criteria, and descriptive analysis using percentage and
thematic analysis is applied. Findings show that Zoom Meeting, and Edmodo
have a very positive agreement about all criteria. In particular, Zoom Meetings got
the highest score on focus on authenticity and meaning. As for Edmodo, the
criteria on the potential of collecting tasks, the focus of meaning and authenticity
is achieved highest score. Moreover, Google Classroom is the most preferred
among the others in which means focus, student suitability, positive impact, and
practicality. However, the three digital platform received the positive impact in
each Participant and the highes score is Zoom Application.
