This study deals with an investigation of the use of Grammarly to enhance students’ accuracy in writing descriptive text. The objective of this study was aimed to investigate the implemented of Grammarly to enhance students’ accuracy in writing descriptive text and to figure out the students perceptions about using Grammarly to enhance their accuracy in writing descriptive text. The present study used qualitative case study design. It used triangulation data techniques: observation, interview, and questionnaire. In this regard the participants in this study were the eighth grade at one of a junior high school. To analyze the observation data and interview, the researcher first transcribed and the questionnaire data was analyse using likert scale measurement. In the finding of this study, referring from the online classroom observation and interview, the researcher concludes the use of Grammarly can enhance students accuracy in writing descriptive text. Then, based on the data from questionnaire, it shows that most of students gave positive perceptions if they writing descriptive text using Grammarly, it can make the students motivated to enhance their writing skill, makes it easy for their to know the mistakes in writing a text, avoid plagiarism, more thoroughly when there are writing errors, and they more confident when writing a text using Grammarly. Finally, future researchers are recommended to conduct the research with the same topic quantitatively to strengthen the finding of this study. |
