Abstract:
Raw material inventory plays an important role in supporting smooth production processes, making efficient inventory control necessary to minimize inventory costs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Just In Time (JIT) method for controlling Aluminum Alloy raw material inventory for the Ref D-Nose Panel component at PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) in 2024. The study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach based on data on raw material demand, ordering frequency, ordering costs, holding costs, and inventory levels. The results show that the actual inventory system resulted in a total inventory cost of Rp116,725,538 per year, with an average inventory level of 145 sheets. The application of the JIT method resulted in an order quantity of 59.33 sheets per delivery and a total inventory cost of Rp67,391,521 per year, indicating a potential cost saving of Rp49,334,017 or 42.26%. In addition, the average inventory level could potentially decrease to 29.67 sheets, representing a reduction of 79.54%. Therefore, the JIT method has the potential to improve the efficiency of Aluminum Alloy raw material inventory control.
