| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to determine the effect of athletic basic coordination (ABC running) drills on improving acceleration and 30-meter sprint speed among athletic extracurricular students at MTs Persis Sindangkasih. The research method employed a quantitative experimental approach with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population comprised all students participating in athletic extracurricular activities, with a sample of 10 students selected through purposive sampling. The test instrument consisted of a 30-meter sprint test using a crouch start recorded with a precision stopwatch. The results revealed a decrease in mean running time from 4.910 seconds in the pretest to 4.569 seconds in the posttest. Statistical analysis via paired sample t-test yielded t-count = 35.108 > t-table = 2.262 (df = 9) with p = 0.000 < 0.05. The percentage improvement reached 6.95%. In conclusion, athletic basic coordination training significantly improves acceleration and 30-meter sprint speed. | en_US |
