Abstract:
Adolescent girls are vulnerable to health problems, including breast cancer, due to
limited knowledge and unhealthy dietary patterns. This study aimed to analyze the
relationship between knowledge of breast cancer and dietary patterns among
adolescent girls. This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive
correlational design and a cross-sectional method. The sample consisted of adolescent
girls selected using purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria. Data were
collected using structured questionnaires measuring knowledge levels and dietary
patterns. The results showed that most respondents had moderate knowledge and less
healthy dietary patterns, with a significant relationship between knowledge and dietary
patterns (p < 0.05). Knowledge of breast cancer plays an important role in shaping
dietary patterns among adolescent girls; therefore, health education is needed to
improve knowledge and promote healthy dietary behavior.
