Abstract:
ABSTRACT
Traffic problems at the unsignalized intersection on Jalan Dr. Sutomo and Jalan
Cerme, Cilacap Regency, are caused by drivers disobeying traffic regulations,
resulting in collisions, increased risk of accidents, and reduced speeds due to the
on- and off-roading of public transportation passengers. These conditions cause
delays, which increase operational costs and travel time.
This study aims to determine delays, queues, performance, and service levels at
unsignalized intersections on Dr. Sutomo and Cerme Roads, Cilacap Regency. The
method used in this study is a survey method, namely by conducting direct
observations at the research location to obtain data as a reference for conducting
analysis.
The results of the study show that the traffic delay on the major road (Jalan Dr.
Sutomo) is 3.68 sec/smp, the traffic delay on the minor road (Jalan Cerme) is 5.56
sec/smp, the intersection delay is 8.19 sec/smp and the largest queue probability is
18.21%, while the smallest queue probability is 7.28%. The level of service of the
unsignalized three-way intersection on Jalan Dr. Sutomo - Jalan Cerme, Cilacap
Regency is at level B (intersection delay value of 8.19 sec/smp).
