NILAI-NILAI FILOSOFIS TRADISI NGABUKU TAUN DI DESA CIKALONG KECAMATAN SIDAMULIH KABUPATEN PANGANDARAN TAHUN 1948-2020

Abstract

The Ngabuku Taun tradition is a tradition that is carried out once a year at the beginning of the month of Muharram in Cikalong Village, usually, the implementation time is determined by traditional elders using the abogé calendar system. The tradition of Ngabuku Taun is a form of gratitude for the presence of Alloh SWT who has bestowed sustenance. The method used in this research is the historical method with stages of heuristics, criticism (external and internal), interpretation, and historiography using a qualitative approach. The tradition of Ngabuku Taun has existed since ancient times until now there has been no change in implementation, starting from the first village head Pradjawidjajadiningrat or known as Eyang Dalem Sembah Dongkol. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the implementation of the Ngabuku Taun tradition was carried out by complying with health protocols. The tradition of Ngabuku Taun is inseparable from the granary of unity. This granary was established for the food security of the Cikalong community in times of famine (crop failure) as well as for the needs of mutual interest. In the Ngabuku Taun tradition, there are philosophical values including religious values, social values, cultural values, historical values, educational values, and economic values.
