dc.description.abstract Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the most common infections found in children. UTIs are more common in boys who have not been circumcised. Circumcision is a minor surgical procedure performed as a modification of a body part by cutting or incising part of the inner foreskin or prepuce that covers the glans penis. Children's misperceptions about circumcision can result in excessive anxiety such as tension, restlessness, nervousness, and even crying. Efforts to overcome anxiety can be done non-pharmacologically. One of the non-pharmacological therapies for children is video game distraction, animated characters in videos can attract children's attention by presenting cute and entertaining characters. The purpose of this literature review is to determine the effectiveness of providing video game therapy on reducing anxiety levels in children pre-circumcision using Literature Review, based on empirical studies over the past 6 years. The method used is a journal search using the Pubmed, Sciantsirect and scholar databases for articles on topics published in English from 2019-2025, then screened using the Prisma method. The results of this literature review utilize DSVIA using keywords relevant to the report's preparation. Articles were selected based on journal selection, abstract selection, and inclusion and exclusion criteria, thus identifying the journals found for investigation. The results of the literature review analysis, which included the eight journals mentioned above, indicate that video game therapy can reduce anxiety levels in pre-circumcision children. Watching video games creates a happier state, causing the release of endorphins, a hormone produced by the hypothalamus in the brain, which relaxes muscles, boosts the immune system, and increases blood oxygen levels. en_US
