dc.description.abstract Background: The occurrence of hypertensive emergencies is a critical condition that still often occurs in hypertensive patients and has a risk of target organ complications. Objective: to identify and analyze the influence of Demographic, Behavioral, Socioeconomic, and Genetic or Comorbidity factors on the occurrence of hypertensive emergencies in hypertensive patients based on published research results. Results: Based on 9 articles that have been analyzed, the factors that influence the occurrence of hypertensive emergencies in patients with hypertension in various countries vary widely, consisting of demographic, clinical, behavioral, socioeconomic, genetic or comorbidity factors, and other factors. Conclusion: Based on the results of a review of a number of relevant articles, it was found that the factors that most influence the occurrence of emergency hypertension include: (1) Age, (2) Gender, (3) Previously diagnosed with hypertension, (4) Compliance with treatment, (5) History of comorbidities such as diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease, and (6) Unhealthy lifestyle (smoking, alcohol consumption, high salt diet, stress, and lack of physical activity). en_US
