Abstract:
Work accidents are accidents that occur in an unsafe environment or due to human error. With the accident that occurs it will reduce the company’s profit. To anticipate that work accident that occupational diseases will not occur, the government urges every company to implement an occupational health and safety management system (SMK3). This study aims to determine the risks if you do not apply and understand about occupational safety and health (K3) when working at work stations. In this study using the hazard and operability (HAZOP) method which aims to identify risk in the work area. With this research, it is hoped that the rice milling UKM in Bungursari Hamlet can apply the principles of occupational safety and health (K3) and avoid all risks of work accidents.
The problem formulation is as follows: how is the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in the rice milling operation in Dusun Bungursari, and what are the results of the OHS analysis using the Hazop method to improve productivity in the rice milling operation in Dusun Bungursari.
The objective of this research is to identify the sources of hazards and the risks associated with these hazards in the rice milling operation in Dusun Bungursari, in order to reduce accidents.
The method used in this study is Hazard and Operability (Hazop). The Hazop method is a systematic, thorough, and structured hazard identification technique used to identify various issues that disrupt process flow and the risks associated with equipment that may pose harmful risks to people or facilities within the system. Based on calculations using the risk level matrix, there are still 5 sources of hazards classified as high risk and 3 sources of hazards classified as medium risk.
