ABSTRACT
FACTORS THAT ARE RELATED TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF PROLANIS PATIENTS TYPE II DM AT SIDAREJA HEALTH CENTER
Diabetes is a non-communicable disease that causes the highest number of deaths and ranks third in the world. Deaths in the world caused by diabetes mellitus are 4.2 million people. Diabetes mellitus occurs throughout life and affects the quality of life, whether there are complications or not. This study aims to analyze factors related to the quality of life of type II DM prolanis patients. The research method used is descriptive correlative with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were type II DM prolanis patients at the Sidareja Health Center with a sample of 50 respondents. Correlation test using Spearman Rank and Chi Square. The results of the study showed that almost all (92%) of the type II DM prolanis patients at the Sidareja Community Health Center had a poor quality of life. There is no relationship between gender and quality of life (p-value: 0.268). There is a relationship between age and quality of life (p-value: 0.044). There is no relationship between marital status and quality of life (p-value: 0.766). There is no relationship between length of suffering and quality of life (p-value: 0.0828). There is a relationship between complications and quality of life (p-value: 0.024). In conclusion, there is no relationship between gender, marital status and length of suffering with quality of life. There is a relationship between age and complications and the quality of life of type II DM prolanis patients at the Sidareja Community Health Center..
