Faktor Yang Berhubungan Dengan Kejadian Stunting Pada Balita Usia 24-59 Bulan Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Bantarkalong

Abstract

Background Stunting (short) is a chronic problem or chronic malnutrition that occurs in toddlers which is characterized by a shorter body height compared to children their age. The percentage of very short and short toddlers aged 0-23 months in Indonesia in 2018 was 12.8% and 17.1%, while the percentage of very short and short toddlers in Indonesia in 2018 was 11.5% and 19.3%. Factors mothers, including those in the pre-pregnancy period, during pregnancy, and during breastfeeding, have poor nutrition, low maternal height, infections, mothers who are still teenagers during pregnancy, mental health, short pregnancy intervals, and hypertension. The aim is to determine the description of the factors associated with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months in the UPTD work area of the Bantarkalong Community Health Center. Research Method This type of research is quantitative descriptive research using observational analytical methods. The number of samples in this study was 51 mothers with stunted toddlers aged 24-59 months. Research Results: The Pvalue obtained is 0.000, meaning there is a relationship between pregnancy distance and the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months in the Bantarkalong Community Health Center working area. Suggestions The results of this research can be used as an effort to treat patients with stunting in toddlers and carry out prevention through health promotion for mothers with stunting toddlers.
