Abstract
Hemodialysis requires adequate vascular access, and the choice of this access will
influence patient morbidity and mortality. Arteriovenous fistulas are the best choice
due to good patency, low risk of complications, and low mortality rates when
compared with other types of access. FAV aneurysm is a chronic complication that
often occurs, where in some literature the incidence rate can reach 6-60%. The aim of
this study was to analyze the factors associated with the incidence of Aneurysm Fistula
Areterio Venosa in Hemodialysis patients. This research uses a correlative descriptive
method with a cross sectional approach. The population is hemodialysis patients at
Majenang Regional Hospital with a sample of 56 respondents. Correlation test using
Chi Square. The results of the study showed that the majority of hemodialysis patients
(60.7%) experienced arteriovenous fistula (FAV) aneurysms of various types. There
is a relationship between age and the incidence of FAV aneurysms (p=0.015). There
was no relationship between gender and the incidence of FAV aneurysms (p= 0.478).
There was a relationship between the length of time undergoing hemodialysis and the
incidence of FAV aneurysms (p= 0.000). There was no relationship between a history
of hypertension and the incidence of FAV aneurysms (p=0.376). There was no
relationship between a history of DM and the incidence of FAV aneurysms (p=0.731).
In conclusion, the majority of hemodialysis patients experience FAV aneurysms.
There was no relationship between gender, history of HT and history of DM with the
incidence of arteriovenous fistula (FAV) aneurysms. There is a relationship between
the length of time undergoing HD and the incidence of arteriovenous fistula (FAV)
aneurysms at Majenang Regional Hospital |
