Penentuan Komoditas Unggulan Sektor Pertanian Tanaman Pangan Kota Tasikmalaya

Abstract

Economic growth is an important and inseparable part for achieving economic development, therefore it is necessary to analyze the areas that are the mainstay of the leading sector to encourage economic growth so that development planning can be realized in a structured manner based on sectoral potential. This study aims to analyzed the leading commodities of the food crop agricultural sector in the City of Tasikmalaya. The method use in this research is descriptive with qualitative approach. The data use in secondary data which is than analyze using LQ (Location Quotient) analysis and Shift Share analysis. The results showed that the leading commodities of the agricultural sector of food crops were still dominated by paddy plants, namely in the Districts of Cibeureum, Purbaratu, Tawang, Cihideung, Mangkubumi, Indihiang, Bungursari, and Cipedes. Meanwhile for corn, cassava, and peanuts as the basis, it is Kawalu and Tamansari Districts.
