ABSTRACT
This research reports on the teachers’ strategies in implementing Youtube
Prophet Stories Videos to improve the students’ motivation in learning English as
a Foreign Language, and the students’ perceptions in using Youtube Prophet Stories
Videos as a media in learning English as Foreign Language. In conducting the
research, the researcher used case study to collect the data from the participants.
The participant of this study were an English Teachers and twenty of the students
at seventh grade in Islamic Boarding School. There were three instruments used by
the researcher in conducting the study that follow as ; Interviews, observations, and
questionnaires. The data were analysed by using Triangulation analysis. The
findings of the first research question show there were eight step which teacher do
in teaching by using Youtube Prophet Stories Videos. Furthermore, there were also
some strategies used by the Teacher to overcome some difficulties found on
Teaching and Learning Process. Meanwhile, The second Research Questions
Findings show that the average of the students motivation score is 78 percents.
Based on the Motivation scale level by Harris (1969) indicates that students
motivation levels in this school is on the “good” level. It can be conclude that
Youtube Prophet Stories Videos improve the students motivation. Furthermore, this
study focus on figuring out the teacher strategies in implementing YPS as a media
in teaching English as Foreign Language. However, it is feasible to explore about
the Teacher Strategies in Managing Classroom Activities in order to control the
