ABSTRACT
This paper deals with the ideational meanings contained in business language for EFL textbooks used in Business class. This study aims to determine the ideational meaning contained in the business language in EFL textbooks used in Business class. This research is a descriptive study on one of the Business English textbooks of Vocational Schools in Ciamis. It was a descriptive study in one of English business textbooks for vocational school in Ciamis. This research took the sample from an English business textbook for vocational school. Meanwhile, For collection the data, text analysis was used with SFL framework involvement. The results of data analysis showed that threre were three major conclusions as the results of the study. Firstly, The first was about the ideational meaning realized in bussiness language for EFL textbook used in Bussiness Major. The researcher found that the majority of the clause has material processes result. Material process dominantly used by the author of the textbook. The second was the ideational meaning of business language representations in EFL textbooks used by vocational schools in accordance with several clauses that identified by the writer. Based on the representation of many clauses found by the researcher, the researcher concluded that the author of the book tend to use material process or the process of doing something. On the business class, in was represent to the students to do something, or ask the students to more doing the works. Finally, the writer suggests that further researchers also investigate the benefits of Book‟ contents toward the development of students‟ skills. Therefore, it could be used as the consideration for the teacher in teaching English subject in the teaching learning process
